Actually, Lionel Messi’s full name is Luis Lionel Andres Messi. Commonly, He is called Leo Messi. He was born on 24 June 1987 in Rosario, Argentina. Currently, Messi is FC Barcelona player and captain of Argentina national team. As we know, he is one of the best footballer in the world.
Messi grew up in his home town, Rosario. He liked playing football very much. He played with another child on the street. His father, Jorge Messi, saw Messi’s talent. Then he asked Messi to enter local football club, Grandoli, where Jorge was a coach over there. Time by time, Jorge realized that Messi will not develop if Messi only join Grandoli. He decided to put him to Newells Old Boy’s youth team. Jorge decision was supported by all of Messi’ s brother.
Jorge made a good decision. Messi develop and become one of the best among another child. However, he got growth hormone deficiency. Because of that, he was one of the shortest child. That problem made Messi more spirit to play football. His talent was known by River Plate. But River Plate did not want to pay the treatment cost for Messi’s growth hormone deficiency which reach $900 per month. Lucky for Barcelona for having much money. The scout from Barcelona looked Messi talent. The scout said, ” I need only ten minute to convince that he will be a great footballer in the future”. Barcelona offered Messi and his family to move to Spain. Barcelona would pay for his treatment.
At 2000, Messi and his family move to Spain. He joined the FC Barcelona Academy. His talent grew up very fast. He also became better because of his personality. He was able to mingle with another very well. On 2004, he made debut against RCD Espanyol. He was the youngest player who ever play for Barcelona, the youngest player in La Liga, and the youngest player in La Liga that make a goal before all of that records broke by Bojan Krkic.
He learned very fast in FC Barcelona from his senior at that time like Ronaldinho. His combination with Ronaldinho at 2006 gave Barcelona European Champions League trophy. When Ronaldinho moved from Barcelona, Messi had more significant role for his team. He had been able to answer that burden in that very young. He develops and becomes better year by year. He has won many trophies with FC Barcelona in his young old. He still has many time to reach more trophies and more individual tittle.
